HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentine's Day full of lots of LOVE... Jesus loves us. He wants us to share with everyone we encounter with his love. So if you don't have a special Valentine show somebody you care. Tell them how much they mean to you.. or how much of an impact they have been on your life. Just do it with a smile....

I don't know about you guys...

but I think the world is as it should be lately. I have been truly enjoying the warmer weather. Warm enough to play outside!! Cool enough to enjoy a nice breeze inside the house through open windows! Thank you Lord for such a nice and unseasonal gift of weather!

As I have been studying the covenant that God made with us through Jesus, I have had several light bulb moments. As I continue to spend time in Titus alongside the study of the covenant, these moments seem to burn brighter. Isn't it amazing how consistent God's Word is? Isn't it sad how surprised I can be by that fact? I hope you have read this week's homework and really spent time meditating on the truth of why we have a standard of behavior. We belong to a Holy God who asks of us our lives in return for His protection, watch care, and covenant to bring us further and further into relationship with Him. I've tried things my way. I try some things my way daily. It is never as fulfilling, never as effective, never as glorious as when God stretches His hand down and works in and through me. Why do we have trouble with such a gentle invitation to submit?

Thankful

This is my picture of half of our group. It has been an interesting and thought provoking time over the past weeks hearing everyone's stories. We have come from very different places and even still we share so many similar experiences. I am thankful that God has allowed us to be brought together during this time to share this part of our path together. We have grown since this picture was taken. I would challenge each of us not to lose sight of the community we have established with one another. I am thankful for you guys and look forward to more and more!

Do YOU have a story?

Of course you have a story. Everybody does ..... its the story before we met Jesus Christ. It's the story we lived OF the world instead of just IN the world...

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-- is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever." 1 John 2:15-17

We are all sinners. We have all lived of the world instead of just using it as a place God provided until we meet him. --- we love our homes, we love our clothes, we love decorating things, we love books, computers, cars, pretty fences, pretty yards with swing sets and a huge inground pool with a slide, we love school, we love our cell phones... What about GOD... do you love him more than you love these man made things of the world........

Currently, Team Rocket is sharing their stories. Through our stories we learn how GOD picked us up and dusted us off from our trials and tribulations. The bible tells us that GOD does things for a reason. He knows EVERYTHING we do before we even thought about doing it. "Yes" even when you pick your noise and you think no one's looking, he saw you... He even knows what's going to happen to us. Even the things we can't control... whether they were bad or good...

We are each different in our own unique ways. But we worship ONE GOD for ONE reason. Love. He is a God of love.
" A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
John 13:34-35.

It says right smack in the Bible Love one another. To love someone.. huh sounds difficult. Guess what it's not. Love is not just a hey or a small smirk to someone. It's a hug, it's an invite to the movies, It's getting to know that person so you can show them that you truly love them the way HE wants us to.

Team Rocket is a group of true love as described in the above verses. We love each and every person that walks through that door. Now whether you were the first to join or if it's your first time visiting it doesn't matter. Everyone gets the same kinda love. Now I didn't say we're perfect... but can't we try to be.... the best loving people GOD wants us to be. Why wouldn't you want to show your fruit..... It's not ours anyway. We are as Christians representation of our GOD. So lets show the world how great he is. Go ahead.... LOVE....I dare you!

What a wonderful idea!

Hey all! I love this idea for our "small group of God's children." We are on our way out the door to deliver a soggy mattress to the dumpster and several outgrown toys to storage. Sound fun? Not really. Even so it needs to be done. We are looking forward to Thursday and getting to know Steve and Pam a little better.

What to expect from Team Rocket

* We meet once a week at The Brown's House around 6:30pm.
* Dinner is shortly after everyone arrives.
* 7:00 pm Most importantly we start fellowship.

We all have hand in God's plan. With more than one hand we can move his mountains.
